Solar is the fastest growing energy technology. AMG is a low cost producer of UMSi, a producer of thin coatings and a provider of vacuum furnace technology for solar grade silicon ingots.
AMG’s recycling efforts enable it to produce high-technology materials from secondary sources, conserving primary raw materials. AMG recycles spent catalysts from the Alberta oil sands as well as flue ashes and scrap metal.
Aerospace has seen explosive growth in the use of titanium alloys, as aircraft manufacturers are in fierce competition to produce lighter aircraft to reduce CO2 emissions. AMG develops vacuum systems to produce aerospace-grade titanium and other high-purity metals. AMG also produces alloys for such production.
A resurgence of nuclear power will encourage the growth of AMG’s nuclear technologies. AMG produces furnaces for sintering nuclear fuel and is developing graphite-based systems to store spent nuclear fuel.
